I’m off and running.. and I’m not turning back. (Phil 3:14, MSG)
As the end of my temporary respite from law school looms over the horizon, I finally got myself to fix this blog. So, after a long hiatus from writing, I vow to find my muse again. Later, I’ll transplant my old blog posts into this site and hope everything works well ![]()

Last Friday I spent the better part of my day tagging my music files. Over the finals season I’ve gotten hold of at least 80 albums. They’ve been sitting in my hard drive devoid of any intelligible organization marked by a glaring absence of id3 tags. These three songs were set on repeat for the whole day:
Brightest (Copeland) made me smile and remember happy days under a tree with crooked branches behind Quezon hall.
Cruel and Pretty (Over The Rhine) is perhaps the best song about death ever created. The piano hook built upon a major 7th chord is quite effective.
Coffee (Copeland) . Oh yes, coffee. This, my friends, is a an instant classic. At least for me.
Contrary to what I planned yesterday, I slept through the afternoon. I had an ordered list of the cases I need to read and the subjects I need to study for today. Tomorrow is my dreaded return to law-school reality. As of 6:05 pm my checklist is still check-less. But it’s okay. There’s so much more fun in surrender. Being overtaken by truth is one thing. Experiencing it, however, is a supernova.
There are mornings where you feel tired even before you get out of bed… But then again, we need to get up one way or another..:)
