Sana matapos ko na ang Med Jur assignment na to 003I’m on my second cup of coffee and finally, I’m halfway through tomorrow’s Med Jur assignment. I haven’t started reviewing for Corpo, Spec Pro and Loc Gov. So tomorrow will be a test of self-control.Earlier today, my computer’s power supply failed while I was burning a cd. Good thing is that it came with a three month warranty so I dropped it off at Silicon Valley before going to school. The the clerk at the store tested the busted power supply I brought and I learned something new today–more specifically, I learned how to activate the power supply without a power button. Upon confirmation of my claims, they gave me a claim receipt and told me that the minimum waiting period for a new unit would be two week because the warranty was not provided by them (the store) but the manufacturer themselves. While I was tempted to contest such knowing that as seller they were bound to keep certain warranties. A split-second after the thought I resolved to desist from arguing and requesting a service replacement unit which I will dutifully return once they’ve replaced my power supply with a new one because I see the benefits of my computer being decommission for the next two weeks:

1. We could save on electricity bills. Being the media server and the computer where I initiate and save all downloads, my desktop stays on save for certain days when I turn it of so that it could rest. Note that I have an unconventional cooling system: I placed an industrial fan at the back of my desktop.

2. Midterms are coming up so one less distraction is immensely helpful.
